Community Guidelines
These guidelines apply to Public Forums and the Blog. They are a starting draft for BizBarrel — edit the wording anytime as the product grows.
1. Purpose
BizBarrel forums and blogs are for real conversation, ideas, and work shared in good faith. Aim to leave the place better than you found it — for yourself and for other members.
2. Be respectful
- Argue ideas, not people. No harassment, threats, or personal attacks.
- Assume good intent when something is unclear; ask before escalating.
- Do not share private information about others without clear permission.
- Disagreement is fine; cruelty is not.
3. Keep it useful
- Post in the right topic or blog context when you can.
- Prefer clear titles and enough detail for others to respond.
- Stay on topic in replies; start a new discussion when the thread has moved on.
- Spam, repeated self-promotion, and link dumps that add no value are not welcome.
4. What is not allowed
- Illegal content, or content that encourages illegal activity.
- Hate speech, violent threats, or content that targets people for who they are.
- Sexually explicit material involving minors (zero tolerance).
- Malware, phishing, or deceptive links.
- Impersonation of other people or organizations.
- Content you do not have the right to share (e.g. others’ copyrighted work without permission).
Automated filters (including language filters) may block some posts. If something was blocked by mistake, edit and try again, or contact the webmaster.
5. Reporting & review
- Use Report on content that breaks these guidelines.
- Reported items may be removed from public view pending webmaster review.
- Authors are notified when their content is held for review.
- Do not misuse reporting to silence disagreement.
6. Your content
You remain responsible for what you publish. By posting on Public Forums or Blog, you grant BizBarrel the rights needed to display, moderate, and host that content on the service. You can edit or delete your own comments and manage your own posts within the product tools provided.
7. Enforcement
Depending on severity and history, we may remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts. Decisions are made to protect the community and the service. These guidelines may be updated; continued use means you agree to the current version.
